Neil Farmer calls time at Lindow
After seven seasons at Upcast Lane, Neil Farmer has called it a day. Neil says that he intends to retire from cricket in a couple of years time, and would therefore like to see out his cricket career with Old Glossop, the team he started playing at. A top class wicketkeeper and more than useful bat, Neils skills will be sorely missed by the 1st XI. We wish him well.

Skewes & Burrows play their last 1st XI game
Tony Skewes & Nigel Burrows have retired from 1st XI cricket. The veteran stalwarts will still be available for 2nd XI duty, but both feel it is time that the younger lads in the Club started plying their trade for the Ones. "We have some very talented lads coming through and they must be given their chance" said Skewsy. "They won't improve playing 2nd XI cricket, and whilst some of them are still young, its time for them to step up a level." Nigel & Tony took 37 wickets for the ones this season at 18.56 apiece.

"Paku" Joshi leaves Upcast Lane
After three seasons at Lindow, Josh has decided to head for the Caribbean sunshine, and his adopted home of Antigua. The little fella will be a hard man to replace, and his all round skills will be badly missed. The local curry shop are said to be distraught at losing such a valuable customer. During his three years at the Club, Josh scored nearly 1500 runs and took just short of 150 wickets.
